Standings for DHL Fastest Pit Stop after six rounds

After six rounds of the 2017 Formula 1 championship, the current standings in the DHL Fastest Pit Stop look as so. In Monaco, Williams did not come out with the fastest time for the third race in a row. That hounour went to Red Bull, but the Grove-based team still lead the way in terms of points. Sauber and Renault sit empty handed at the bottom of the table.

It should be points for fastest lap for the driver, and pit performance for the team. But the pit performance one should only count if there wasn't an unsafe release etc. Interesting idea.

I really think there should be points added to the constructors championship for this league. Would make the team more accountable and encourage better performance. Ok not the same number of points as are mentioned in this league but maybe 5 points for fastest in a round and down to one. could make the difference to a team in the long run.

    • Points for fastest pit stops and laps would be nice. It neednt be any major points, but anything helps. Though if they do that, I think they should increase the points range a bit, because I think a top 10 place should earn you more points than a fastest pitstop or lap.

  • Williams has learned their lessons well. Remember how they struggled with pit stops in 2014 and 2015? Seems far away now. Ferrari will have to step it up though. When competing for the top, a bad stop is less than optimal.

At least this way McLaren could notch up a few points if they sharpened up a bit in pit stops.
