Formula One world champion Nico Rosberg has missed out on a top German sports award.
The recently-retired driver finished third in a public poll for Germany's sportsman of the year award.
He lost out to gymnast Fabian Hambuchen and triathlete Jan Frodeno. Tennis player Angelique Kerber won the women's prize.
In the British equivalent, the BBC Sports Personality of the Year, Lewis Hamilton didn't even receive a nomination, despite wining the award in 2014 and finishing fifth in the poll last year.
