Red Bull Racing are "going in the right direction" according to Daniel Ricciardo.
After four years of dominance, Red Bull have fallen behind in the V6 turbo era, taking just five wins in three years.
But the Australian, who has taken all but one of those wins, thinks the Milton Keynes-based team are on the right track to return to the top.
"Everything we put on the car, maybe our feedback is helping as well, but all the updates seem to be going in the right direction," Ricciardo told Autosport. "Since I've been with Red Bull it's been the best year for that. A lot of things we've used or put on the car have worked."
He also said the healthy rivalry enjoyed by him and team mate Max Verstappen is pushing the team even further.
"The level me and Max are maintaining is helping the team," he said. "We're certainly pushing each other. We're both driving at a pretty good level."
