Force India deny driver exit rumours

Force India insist that they do not need to make an announcement regarding their 2017 driver lineup because both Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez have contracts for next year.

Both drivers have been linked with moves away from the Silverstone outfit, with Perez seen as a major player in this season's driver market.

However, Force India's sporting boss Otmar Szafnauer is adamant both drivers will be going nowhere.

"We don't have to (announce it)," he is quoted by Auto Motor und Sport. "We have contracts with Hulkenberg and Perez. Mercedes has also not announced that Hamilton is driving next year."

Nico Hulkenberg also rubbished claims about a move away for him or Perez.

"There's nothing to it," he said on Thursday. "As far as I know, Checo and I will be at Force India next year."
