Daniil Kvyatt has revealed his passion for Formula One is finally returning.
The Russian has had a nightmare season since being dropped from Red Bull Racing at the end of April but now he appears to be enjoying F1 again.
"I loved the race," the youngster said. "I feel the passion again and think I'm back to normal. These months have been a great test for my passion and I pushed until the last centimetre."
His ninth place in the Singapore Grand Prix was his best finish since returning to Toro Rosso prior to the Spanish Grand Prix.
Kvyat spent a good portion of the race fighting with his Red Bull replacement Max Verstappen and he thinks that battle has proven to himself how good he is.
"I was fighting and I think I did a good job. It's good you know -- he had the faster car, but I kept him behind for two stints, which makes me think I'm pretty good," he told ESPN. "The racing over this past month has been a big test of my passion but I'm loving it again so that's mega. I pushed to the very last centimetre and left myself on the track."
