Kimi Raikkonen has said he can't promise that Ferrari will be able to fight for the victory in Singapore this weekend, despite the Italian team taking a convincing win under the lights last year.
In an uncharacteristically uncompetitive race last year, Mercedes never came close to winning the race, while Raikkonen's Ferrari team mate Sebastian Vettel won from pole position, despite battling a drinks bottle failure in what is usually one of the most physically demanding races on the Formula One calendar.
However, despite outperforming Red Bull last time out in Italy, Raikkonen is not conviced Ferrari will have is as easy this time in Singapore.
"I think the last few races have gone in the right direction, but it's very difficult to say how it's going to be there. It's a completely different circuit layout and the conditions are different," he told Crash.net. "This year there have been considerable differences between the teams in different tracks, so I'm not going to guess what will happen there. At least we are going in the right direction and it feels better."
"We'll know once we get there; last year it was good but I cannot promise it's going to be the same story all over again."
