At the final race before the summer break, Ferrari slipped to third in the constructors' standings, bringing a somewhat dismal end to a tough first half of the season for the Italian team.
Driver Sebastian Vettel is, however, looking on the positive side, rather than focussing on the team's shortcomings.
"We know that the last few races have been tough, but they were also helpful," he said. "We were able to identify some strengths and some weaknesses in the car. We know where we need to focus on. That was not clear after the first races of the season, but it is now evident. "
"It's a hard way to find out," he added. "We are not as competitive as we would like, but we know what we have to do. That has not happened 1-2-3, that takes time. But we have a plan and the second half of the season would have gone better. That also depends on what the rest, but we will concentrate initially on ourselves. "
