Sebastien Buemi became the latest driver to sample Pirelli's 2017 tyres yesterday when he tested at Mugello in Italy.
The Swiss driver, conducting his first F1 test since 2014, was charged with trying out the Italian firm's slick compounds for next year using a 2015 Red Bull RB11 with a modified floor to simulate 2017 downforce levels.
Buemi completed a total of 82 laps during the day, and is back behind the wheel today. Earlier this week, Sebastian Vettel and Esteban Gutierrez ran wet weather compounds at Fiorano using a similarly modified Ferrari SF15-T.
All information regarding the tyres tested have been kept secret from both the teams and drivers involved in the tests, while the remaining teams will be given the feedback and data from the tests.
Mercedes will be the next team to test the wider 2017 tyres. They will be running at Paul Ricard in September. No information regarding which driver or car will be used during the test, although it is likely to be either Esteban Ocon or Pascal Wehrlein driving another modified 2015 chassis.
