Max Verstappen collected the Lorenzo Bandini Trophy yesterday in the Italian town of Brisighella.
The award, given to a person (or team) that has shown a commendable performance in motorsport, was given to Verstappen after an impressive rookie season in Formula One - just his second full year of car racing in his career.
"I'm honoured to receive this award; it's amazing recognition," Verstappen, told his official website. "I now drive for a top team but the attitude and hunger for success is the same in both teams."
Named after the late Lorenzo Bandini, the award has previously been won by the likes of Michael Schumacher, Kimi Raikkonen, Mark Webber, Robert Kubica, and Verstappen's current team mate, Daniel Ricciardo.
