FP1: Lewis Hamilton leads the way in Monaco

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has set the fastest time in first free practice for the Grand Prix of Monaco. In second place not his teammate Nico Rosberg, he was just ninth. Both Ferrari's, both Red Bull's, Pastor Maldonado and both Toro Rosso's nestled in between both Mercedes drivers. A lot of drivers had troubles with Turn 1. Fernando Alonso, Daniel Ricciardo, Valtteri Bottas, Carlos Sainz, Pastor Maldonado and Romain Grosjean all needed the escape route in Ste Devote.
