Sam Bird excited for Buenos Aires

DS Virgin racer Sam Bird is excited to be returning to Buenos Aires in two weeks for the third round of the 2016/17 FIA Formula E championship.

Bird won the race in Argentina last season which was his third and most recent win in the series. The Briton is looking forward to going back and is also hoping to repeat his good fortunes.

"Well firstly the city is amazing. You know, we go to the heart of the city and this is one that I really look forward to. The track lends itself to a lot of overtaking, intense battles throughout the pack, that's exactly what you saw last year with myself and [Sebastian] Buemi at the front. I hope that's what you see again this year with me hopefully me being able to repeat what I did last year."

Bird currently sits fifth in the driver standings, taking second place at round two of the season at Marrakesh in November. Currently leading the championship is Sebastian Buemi who has emerged victorious in both races so far.
