Romain Grosjean is looking forward to this year's Bahrain Grand Prix after showing some pace in Australia and China. The Frenchman qualified in P5 on Melbourne before retiring with a water pressure issue, while he just missed out on points in China.
His team mate Kevin Magnussen bagged Haas' first points of the year last weekend, finishing in eighth. Despite missing out on taking some points for himself, Grosjean was happy for the team.

Onto the next one with better luck
Now Formula 1 travels to Bahrain, where Grosjean finished a sensational fifth in last year's Grand Prix. He says he loves to push and brake late, which he is allowed to do around the upcoming track.
“I love the track in Bahrain. On paper, it doesn’t look like the most exciting one, but driving it is pretty good fun. Big braking – I brake late. I love braking hard and late. It probably explains why my qualifying sessions in 2012 and 2013, I could have done better. The car was pretty good on tires in the race. It’s hard on tires as well, but I was good with that, probably another thing that helped. I love racing in Bahrain.”
The Bahrain International Circuit has plenty of run off area and a driver will not be as punished as much as if he made a mistake on a street circuit, where the driver's session would be over as he would find himself in the barrier. Grosjean reckons it's much easier to find your braking point around this track
“It’s certainly easier to find braking points in Bahrain than it is in Monaco or Singapore. You know if you miss it, or overshoot your braking point, you’re just going to go straight and have another go on the next lap. Some street circuits it’s straight into the wall. It’s a bit easier to get used to it and find the limit.”
