Red Bull's Dr Helmut Marko has said that he hopes the team's RB13 car will be a winner by the time of its home Grand Prix in Austria in early July.
Its rivals Mercedes and Ferrari were much faster throughout the opening weekend of the season in Melbourne, with the latter taking the race win, but as Marko told the Salzburger Nachrichten newspaper: "The basic concept of the car is right. We believe we know the area in which to work on the chassis."

Marko is evidently aware that improvements need to be made to fight the two teams above them, and revealed that some are ready for the Chinese Grand Prix this weekend. He conceded that major changes to the car's Renault engine would not happen until Montreal, but did say that a lighter version of the current powerplant would be introduced in Spain, two races beforehand.
"A big update from Renault is only planned for Canada, but we will have a version that is slightly lighter and can be driven in a higher mode for a longer time," he said. "This makes us optimistic that we might be able to take the lead by Austria."
