2016 GP2 champion Pierre Gasly was today testing in Fuji for the upcoming Super Formula season, where he will compete with Team Mugen. The Frenchman is only one of the six non-Japanese drivers to be competing in the series this year.
The series has become an attractive proposition to many non-Japanese racers, as Felix Rosenqvist also takes a spot on the grid for this season, as does two former F1 racers, Andre Lotterer and Narain Karthikeyan.
Gasly finished the test day in P2, and you can ride onboard with him around a lap at Fuji.
Good test in Fuji today, cool track! P2 overall. :) @SUPER_FORMULA pic.twitter.com/XKnfqNAaIu
