Mark Webber: "New cars have brought rebirth of Vettel"

Former Grand Prix driver Mark Webber believes that the new and revamped 2017 cars mean that Sebastian Vettel is back to a strong mentality after a couple of tough years.

Vettel switched to Ferrari in 2015 after a long stint at Red Bull, but despite three wins during his maiden season for the team, nothing else came of it. His 2016 season was painful for the German, as the Maranello based team slipped behind Red Bull into third.

Webber, who partnered Vettel at Red Bull from 2009-2013 says that his former teammate has been completely revived as he now has a championship winning car.

"The new generation of cars has brought about the rebirth of Sebastian. World champion Sebastian is mentally quite back. Last year there was a lack of motivation from him because he had no prospect of victory.

"That's why this victory is so important to him. As a driver, you can once again make the difference as it is much harder to drive these cars to the limit. That is another speciality of Vettel, looking up the limit of the car."

That coming from Mark who doesn't exactly see Vettel as his bruh, that's high praise.
