The Ferrari boss' comments come in the wake of the Mexican Grand Prix, where Sebastian Vettel controversially burst into an expletive-laden rant over the radio.
Italian press are also adamant that the team is in crisis, but Arrivabene insists that Vettel, who won three races for the team last year, needs to keep external factors out of his mind.
"Sebastian just needs to focus on the car," the Italian told Autosport. "He is a person who gives so much and sometimes this means he is interested in a bit of everything."
"So sometimes you have to re-focus him, remind him to be focused on the main job," he said.
