Red Bull motorsport advisor Dr, Helmut Marko has denied a wild rumour about Sebasstian Vettel.
The four-time world champion was spotted talking to Christian Horner and Adrian Newey in the Austin paddock this weeked.
Vettel's contract with Ferrari is up next year and the discussions with his former bosses has led many to believe he is angling for a return to the Milton Keynes-based outfit.
But Marko insists that the trio were not even talking about F1.
"Sebastian wants to buy one of the Aston Martins that Newey has helped to develop," he told Germany's Auto Bild.
"Sebastian has discussed with Adrian the special requests that he wants for his car," he added, referring to the rumoured $3 million, 1000 horse power supercar.
Newey meanwhile is attending his first race in a while this weekend. The legendary designer splits his time between F1, the Americas Cup yacht race, and a new road car project with Aston Martin.
But despite his presence this weekend and new aerodynamic regulations for 2017.team boss Horner has said that Newey's involvement withing the team will remain "probably about the same."
"I mean, Adrian is splitting his time about 50-50 with this Aston Martin project we've taken on, and designing a formula one car for the other half of the week," he said. "He's here this weekend to keep up to speed with what's going on trackside, and it's always good to have him at an event."
