Nico Rosberg has backed Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton to bounce back from a disappointing Malaysia Grand Prix.
The team had a horrible time in Sepang, with Rosberg spinning on the opening lap and Hamilton suffering engine failure while leading the race.
But Rosberg isn't letting the negatives from last weekend get to him as he looks to gold onto his championship lead this weekend in Japan.
"I've learned not to spend energy on things I can't influence," he said. "I have every confidence in Mercedes that they will do everything humanly possible to prevent the same thing happening. And some changes are already being implemented this weekend."
"We just need to be a little more careful this weekend -- but I'm not talking about earth-shattering changes," Rosberg added.
As for the Hamilton, Rosberg was confident the three-time champion would be maintaining his intense championship challenge
"I've known Lewis long enough to know that he recovers from setbacks and will be as difficult as ever to beat here," he said.
