Honda's latest engine upgrade has used up fewer engine development tokens than first thought.
Fernando Alonso ran the new engine for the first time in Malaysia which featured a reinforced block and updated exhaust, costing them two tokens.

However, the FIA have since deemed the changes to the block as being on reliability grounds - and as such did not need the use of a token.
As a result, the FIA asked Honda to resubmit the document for the change to the block, this time citing that the change was being made on reliability grounds. The FIA approved the change on Friday.
That leaves Honda with two remaining tokens now instead of one, although the Japanese marque has stated they have no plans for further performance upgrades before the end of the season.
