F1 teams and the FIA have confirmed which 2017 rule changes will be sent for approval to the Strategy Group.
Germany's Auto Motor und Sport have revealed that changes relating to tyre choice, safety car race starts and the end of a multiple engine change loophole have been discussed.
Another change will aim to address the problem of 'unsafe release' from pitstops, with a light showing drivers if the pitlane is safe.
A big change coming in to force will render what Lewis Hamilton did at Spa impossible, by removing the ability to 'stockpile' engines.
From next year, only the latest engine change can be used, ending the ability to take one real penalty for multiple engine changes.
From next year, Pirelli will control tyre selections for the opening five races, ensuring teams don't make too many soft tyre choices.
Teams have also agreed to start wet races fromt he grid after an initial safety car period.

All in all, these do sound like good changes. Maybe a bit over the top to let Pirelli choose the tyres for the teams, but the rest sound ok.
