Kimi Raikkonen has been proving critics wrong with his recent performances.
The Ferrari veteran came under fire after his contract was renewed by Ferrari, yet after finishing the Singapore Grand Prix in fourth the Italian Press have hailed the 2007 world champion.
"Raikkonen was assertive, intelligent and topped it off with the Hamilton pass. Brivissimo," said La Gazzetta dello Sport, who rated the Finn 9 out of ten - only second to race winner Nico Rosberg who was given 9.5
"With his experience and skills, he proved again that he is a great champion," agreed team boss Maurizio Arrivabene
Raikkonen however, appeared less pleased with his result, after yet another strategy blunder from the Italian team appeared to have cost him a podium finish.
"We made the decision based on our data," said Arrivabene. "We will now examine whether that information was correct, but Kimi drove like a world champion."
