Nico Rosberg feels "stronger in himself"

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg believes that he is stronger now after a relaxing summer break and is ready to fight once again.

The German in currently 19 points behind his team-mate Lewis Hamilton and with both drivers fighting for the championship, Rosberg is hoping to pull back some points over Hamilton soon.

“It’s been great to have a couple of weeks with the family to relax and recharge the batteries. I’ve loved every minute – but now it’s time to get back to work!"

“For me, it’s like a clean slate at this stage. What’s happened so far this season is in the past. I can’t wait to get in that car, put my foot down and get everything I can from these next races.”

Rosberg lists Spa-Francorchamps among his favourite race tracks and is hoping to get a win at the very least this weekend. Rosberg has never won around Spa but is looking to change that and add his name to the winners list.

“Belgium is a great place to kick start the year after the break. It’s such an awesome track, with so many challenges and usually some crazy weather just to mix things up even more."

“If you ask any driver they will tell you how much they love racing here. And, if you look back through the years, there have been some great moments too – that mega move from Mika Häkkinen on Michael Schumacher down the Kemmel straight, for example. All of that history just makes it even more special, so I’d love to add my name to the winner’s list.”

“I’m feeling strong in myself, I know I’ll have the best car out there and I’m massively pumped to be back on track, so let’s see how it goes.”

  • I think, he is not gonna make it.

He is mentally by far not strong enough to beat Hamilton.
A 43 point lead is now changed in a chase of 19 points. He will get better results after Hamilton has secured the world title. In the races to come, he will even be beaten a couple of times by the Red Bulls. He makes very strange discissions and actions on the track, which make me clear he can't handle the pressure at all.

The championship is decided for me.
