Charles Leclerc has said that his confidence is growing every time he gets behind the wheel of a Formula One car.
The Monegasque driver made his third free practice appearance of the season for Haas in Germany, and feels he's improving every time he gets behind the wheel.
"A little bit more, every time I jump in the car, I have more confidence," said the GP3 driver who has also tested for Haas this year.
"It's only the third time I've gone in it, so I still have a lot to learn, and the car which feels less and less normal now is the GP3 car, as getting back to the GP3 car is a really big difference."
Despite performing well in his trio of outings so far, Leclerc knows what he needs to do to improve relative to the experienced Romain Grosjean.
"We have data, so we look at the data, and Romain is really fast in the fast corners, while in the slow corners we are quite similar, but I still need to learn quite a lot in the fast corners," he said. "I still have a lot to learn and work on and I think I can only improve."
The Ferrari Junior was also full of praise for Haas, who are competing in their first season in Formula One.
"On the engine side, they have exactly the same engine [as Ferrari] , so the car itself needs to be [improved] a bit, but they are doing a great job, in only their first year in Formula 1," he said. "It's crazy what they are doing, I'm really impressed by them."
