Sebastian Vettel will be demoted five places on the Silverstone grid after Ferrari changed a broken gearbox in his car.
Vettel's gearbox failed at the death of the final practice on Saturday morning just after he completed a fast lap. This is the third time this season and the second race in succession that Vettel has taken a five place grid drop due to a penalty.
Ferrari have looked to be the third fastest team this weekend after Mercedes and Red Bull. Vettel will not of wanted to be hindered anymore as he goes in search of his first win of the season and his first win since Singapore of last year.
