Mikhail Aleshin has rejoined SMP Racing for the remaining three races in the World Endurance Championship.
The Russian raced for the team in 2015 in the European Le Mans Series but returned to IndyCar this year after a one year absence.
"I am delighted to be back behind the wheel of the Russian BR01 prototype," said Aleshin, who will race for SMP Racing in Japan, China and Bahrain. "This car is our baby that we have raised since the beginning of 2014 and that work I'd like to continue."
"There are going to be three races and I will give everything to achieve good results for our fans."
