Penkse are expected to keep the same driver lineup next season according to president Tim Cindric.
Three of the team's four drivers are currently in championship contention, with Juan Pablo Montoya enduring a tough season despite winning the season opener in St. Petersburg.
This has led to speculation that the Formula One and NASCAR race winner could exit the team when his contract expires at the end of the year.
However, Cindric has said that the team aims to retain their current driver roster.
"Our goal is to remain with four cars and have our drivers part of our program next year," he told RACER. "We've got loose ends to tie up between now and the end of the year," he said. "But we certainly want to stay focused on the championship and get that part of it checked off because obviously we didn't finish that off last year."
Despite Montoya and three-time Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves now being in their 40s, Cindric insists that nothing has changed regarding their futures.
"I think we approach it the way we always do: a year at a time," he said. "I don't think it'll be any different this year, next, the year after. I don't really see it as something you can be able to predict over time."
