Ericsson focusing on Bahrain after "difficult" Chinese GP

Marcus Ericsson didn't have the greatest of races in Shanghai, labelling his afternoon as "difficult". The Swede said that he struggled with tyre temperatures all race long which hampered his abilities in moving forward.

Ericsson progressed into Q2 once again this weekend, but couldn't capitalise on the wet conditions at the start, despite stating he had a good one.

"I had a good start as well as a decent first lap. During the virtual safety car phase, we were changing to soft tyres, even though we knew that the track was partly dry as well as still wet. After that, it was quite difficult."

Despite his struggles, Ericsson switches his immediate focus onto Bahrain, where Formula 1 travels to next weekend: "The conditions were tricky as well as the asphalt temperatures being relatively low, which made it difficult to get the tyres to work. Overall, I struggled with the tyres during the whole race – I never really got them into the right working window. Now I look forward to Bahrain."

    • Definitely a good performance. He isnt the best driver on the grid, but I definitely think he is a good driver.
