Mick Schumacher to become a Mercedes junior

Mick Schumacher looks set to join Mercedes' junior ranks.

The son of Formula One legend Michael Schumacher finished both the Italian and German Formula Four championships in second place this year, and will race in Formula Three in 2017.

Schumacher was spotted at the German Grand Prix earlier this year as a guest of both Mercedes, and another of his father's former teams Ferrari.

At an end of year celebration event near Stuttgart, Schumacher Jr. was pictured by the Express wearing a Mercedes F1 team jacket, with the tabloid adding that his signing "will soon be official, but no one wants to confirm it yet."

  • He resembled his old man quite alot in terms of appearance, and it does seem like he is talented.

More talented than a dozen of his peers, you mean? I'm not so sure he would be getting this chance if his name had been Mick Müller.
