Adrian Newey has sampled Red Bull Racing's simulator for a new series of videos on the team's official website.
The designer, who has been behind all of Red Bull's race and championship winning cars, attempted to beat a time set by David Coulthard, who raced for Red Bull in their first four seasons, and continues to drive in demonstration events for the team.
Newey is no stranger to driving high performance machinery, having previously raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as classic events in his own Ford GT40. He has also driven modern Formula One cars of his own design on occasions, including a 2009 Red Bull RB5 and a 2008 Toro Rosso STR3 at the Goodwood festival of speed in 2009 and 2016 respectively.
