Today is exactly two years since Max Verstappen joined the Red Bull family.
After courting the interest of Mercedes and Red Bull, the then 16-year-old Dutchman signed with the energy drink firm on August 12, 2014, halfway through his first season of car racing. Six days later it was announced that he would race for Toro Rosso in Formula One in 2015.
By the end of 2014 he was already taking part in practice sessions for Toro Rosso, and after just 23 races he made the move to Red Bull's senior team, winning his first race with them in Spain earlier this year.
