Sebastian Vettel has completed the first running of the new-for-2017 Pirelli tyres.
The wider rubber was sampled by Sebastian Vettel, who was driving a modified 2015 Ferrari SF15-T, at Ferrari's private Fiorano test track.
The German completed a handful of installation laps on slick tyres before moving on to test intermediate and wet tyres on an artificially dampened surface.
Vettel has been particularly vocal this season about Pirelli's current wet weather tyre, saying that drivers don't have "any trust in the extreme wet" tyres. The new wet weather tyres have a tread that is 25% wider than the current tyre according to Pirelli.
Hass F1 Team drier Esteban Gutierrez will take over driving duties today, while Sebastien Buemi will begin testing of the new slick compounds at Mugello tomorrow
