Red Bull technical chief Adrian Newey, has said he is very much looking forward to the new technical regulations for 2017.
Newey is currently working on the collaboration with Aston Martin, designing a hypercar code-named the AM-RB 001. Once the car is in an advanced design phase, he is expected to step back and focus primarily on F1.
"He's excited by the regulation change for '17," said Red Bull team principal Christian Horner. "He's splitting his time between the two projects,"
After playing a major role in Red Bull's dominant spell between 2010-2013, Newey signed a new deal with the team in 2014 which has seen him involved in wider Red Bull Technology projects, including the collaboration with Aston Martin.
