GP3 Series organisers are pleased to announce that Atech Grand Prix and Bamboo Engineering have joined forces and will compete in GP3 for the 2013-2015 seasons under the name of the Silverstone Technology Park-based team. Founded in 2009, Bamboo Engineering have competed in the prestigious World Touring Car Championship. The newly-named team will run their GP3/13 cars for the first time on February 20-22 for the first official pre-season testing of year.

GP3 Series CEO Bruno Michel said: "We are pleased to welcome Bamboo Engineering to GP3 Series. I believe they can form a very successful partnership with Atech Grand Prix who have been a key part of GP3 since the inaugural season. I am sure with their experience they will be able to be on pace very quickly."

Bamboo Engineering CEO Richard Coleman commented: "We're thrilled to be competing in one of the worlds finest single seater formulas, Bamboo Engineering will be looking to make its mark and carve a strong reputation. We can't wait to get stuck in and make a real impact on our first season in the GP3 Series, with our racing pedigree we're well prepared to show just what Bamboo Engineering can do."
