Marcus Ericsson says that he still can't feel the full strain of the new cars, which have much more downforce on them this season.
As the regulations change once again, the cars will push more G-Force onto the drivers, making them much tougher physically to drive. However Ericsson says he is still yet to feel the impact.
“Today the longest run I did was twelve timed laps, which was fine but you can definitely feel that it is going to be a bit tougher for the neck,” he said following yesterday's test.
“It’s going to be tougher for the races. Hopefully next week we will try to do a race distance which will be a good test to do, not only for us as a team but for me personally to see how I feel afterwards.”
“This year’s cars are definitely more fun to drive. As you would expect, faster in mainly the high speed corners, you can feel quite a big difference.
“Also I thought the braking was quite improved, they’re shorter so you can attack the corners a lot more. That was something I enjoyed quite a bit.”

From the sound of it, the change from last year wasnt very drastic, despite all the hype they tried to induce, for better or worse. Faster in high speed corners sound nice though. Sort of hope Sauber didnt shoot themselves in the foot when they kept the 2016 spec PU.
