As the 2017 Formula 1 season looms large, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner is looking forward to seeing how the season goes. He will be hoping his team can end Mercedes' dominant run of three consecutive drivers and constructors titles.
Speaking in a message to Pirelli, who are celebrating 110 years of producing tyres, Horner shared his enthusiasm.
"2017 with the big regulation change is going to be a fascinating season to witness," he said. "Tyres are going to be a key part of that, the new dimensions, the bigger, wider more aggressive looking tyres, more aerodynamics, the cars going four, five, six seconds a lap quicker is going to be a great spectacle for the fans.
"Pirelli's involvement from the very first test that we were involved in last summer have really embraced this and I think Formula 1 is really going to benefit from the investment that Pirelli has made into the product for this year.
"It's going to be a great season, I'm sure Mercedes and Ferrari are going to have a strong year ahead, we're going to try and push them hard and hopefully we can have some fun a long the way, it's exciting times for Formula 1 at the moment and hopefully we can put on a good show."
