McLaren have teased a new road car they are dubbing "the world’s first Hyper-GT".
Codenamed BP23, or Bespoke Project 2 with three seats, the car will mirror the legendary McLaren F1's unique three seat layout.
Only 106 examples of the car are set to be built and speculation is mounting that all may have already been sold.
McLaren Special Operations, who are heading the development of the car, will work with each individual customer to personalise it to their specific requests.
Not much is known about BP23, but it will feature a hybrid powertrain, likely fitted to the company's 3.9 litre V8 engine that features in all of their current production cars.
The news of this car follows on from Mercedes plans to release a road car powered by their dominant F1 engine, and Red Bull's tie up with Aston Martin.
The announcements from Aston Martin and Red Bull, Mercedes, and now McLarenmeans that a trio of extreme, F1-inspired cars are set to take to the streets in the coming years.
