Nico Rosberg was satisfied with finishing the Mexican Grand Prix in second place, despite it meaning his championship lead took another hit.
Rosberg now has a 19 point lead with two races remaining, meaning that a win is all he needs to secure the championship, no matter what happens to team mate Lewis Hamilton.
Despite missing out on the chance to take back-to-back wins in Mexico, Rosberg was happy to finish on the podium.
"It has been a good day," said Rosberg. "Lewis has been too fast this weekend so I just have to accept second place."
The Mercedes driver also admitted he was relived to finish where he did after he made contact with Max Verstappen on the opening lap.
"I had some massive battles out there," he added. "At the start I got shunted and then with Max later on and everything so it is okay to be second."
