Force India's deputy team principal Bob Fernley thinks that McLaren could potentially "spoil" their fourth place battle with Williams.
Both teams are currently locked in a close contest to see who will be 'best-of-the-rest' behind Mercedes, Red Bull, and Ferrari, a battle that Fernley thinks will continue until the very end of the season.
"I think it's going to be toe to toe until the end of the season," Fernley told Autosport.
"There is more to come out of our set-up, but I think both Williams and Force India have all of the toys [for 2016] now, and it's a case of working out how to play with them."
However, Fernley thinks that the contest isn't exclusively between Force India and Williams, as he says that McLaren will be ready to capitalise on any mistakes made by the two teams.
"What I think will happen is that McLaren will be the spoiler between us, and if either of us make a mistake McLaren will punish us," he said.
"McLaren could be the difference between the two teams actually, that's how I would see it going forward. It's gone three-dimensional."
