Track limits exceeded 93 times in first practice

The stewards at the German Grand Prix have announced that in the first free practice session at the Hockenheimring, the track limits were exceeded 93 times in Turn 1.

Fourteen of those violations were credited to Max Verstappen.

FIA race director Charlie Whiting has told the teams that the limit of three times exceeding the track limits is still valid, as in Hungary.

The Strategy Group meeting in Geneva yesterday called for the limits to be scrapped.
