Max Verstappen has celebrated his recent Formula One success by purchasing a Porsche 911 GT3.
The 18-year-old, who only passed his driving test in September of last year, purchased the car which costs over £130,000 brand new, after getting the 'okay' from his father, former Benneton driver Jos Verstappen.
"If Max wants to buy something big, he must get permission from us first. Like now with his private car," Verstappen Sr. told Swiss newspaper. "But Max is very sensible on normal roads."
The Porsche 991 911 GT3 RS produces 500 horsepower from its four litre flat-six engine, making it one of the most powerful 911's ever produced. It's seven-speed paddle-shift gearbox helps it go from 0-62 mph in just over three seconds and onwards to a manufacturer claimed top speed of 193 mph.
