FIA joined by OMP Racing as official supplier

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and OMP Racing have signed an agreement whereby the Italian company is to become the “Official Supplier of the FIA for Racing Apparel” for the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

OMP Racing is a world leader in the design and creation of accessories and components for motor sports, and amongst other initiatives will be supplying technical racing clothing to FIA Officials in different FIA Championships. This will include fireproof overalls, shoes, gloves and underwear, products that were researched and developed in the manufacturing plant located in Ronco Scrivia, near Genoa (Italy).

Jean Todt, the President of the FIA said: "The FIA is pleased to have reached an agreement with OMP to become its Official Supplier for Racing Apparel, as the company's philosophy is perfectly aligned with FIA’s top priority to strive for the highest level of safety in motorsport."

Paolo Delprato, OMP CEO, said: "The agreement with FIA, the supreme worldwide authority on the subject of motorsport safety, represents the achievement of a new important goal for OMP, bearing witness to our company's path of growth and the know-how acquired in the racing components division in over 39 years of history. At the same time, reaching this important result is further stimulus for OMP to continue along that path of growth and innovation, in order to offer all racing fans the greatest safety and best performance possible."
