A1 Grand Prix working towards restart as A1 World Cup

The A1 Grand Prix seems to get a second chance. The serie with nations as teams started in 2005, but after four years the organisers pulled the plug after they couldn't pay the bills anymore. Now, a restart is in the making, as A1 World Cup. On the site www.a1worldcup.com there is a countdown to an official introduction.

The people behind the A1 World Cup offer fans the possibility to witness a preview. "Five thousand fans can come to take a look at a secret location in The Netherlands or Germany. There they will see the cars again, get the chance to speak with some drivers and so on. Off course there won't be a race, but it's an unofficial warm-up for the coming season. We will announce the location and date in the coming weeks", stated the A1 World Cup for F1Today.net.
