Ollie Jackson will return to the BTCC next year, again with AmD Tuning.

The 32-year-old has competed in four full seasons in the BTCC since 2012, two of which have been with AmD.

Last season the Reigate man finished 26th in the points driving the team's Audi S£ which was running the ageing GPRM control components.

Next season the car will be running the new RML-spec parts instead, something Jackson feels will allow the team to step up in performance.

"With the upgrades that will be carried out, I'm hopeful that we can be in a strong position when the season starts and be able to challenge for points from round one," he said.

Team boss and former driver Shaun Hollamby has also said that the team are looking to add a second entry.

"There is still the possibility that we may be able to run a second car alongside Ollie if certain things fall into place but it is out of our hands at the moment and very much a case of wait and see," he said.

AmD will also be running a new Mercedes-Benz AMG GT GT3 in the British GT championship next season.

Delighted to announce I'm back with @AmDessex, great to have the deal done early, we'll be well prepared to make the most of our Audi! #btcc https://t.co/2uTSWigaAs
