Richard Verschoor won the main race of the weekend at Teretonga Park, coming from fifth on the grid to claim victory in wet, tricky conditions. Verschoor's championship rival Thomas Randle spun at last corner before the main straight, allowing Verschoor to build up a lead.
"I feel very good in the rain," Verschoor said now that his lead has further strengthened in the championship and now is 58 points ahead of Thomas Randle. "I have often ridden in the rain in karting. Today we managed to hold me a good pace, but there is still a lot to learn."
Next weekend the championship continues on the track at Hampton Downs
