In a recent survey taken in Singapore, it suggests that the majority of fans wish for the Singapore Grand Prix to continue after 2017.
The race has come under scrutiny after it emerged recently that the event may not be held beyond next season. Bernie Ecclestone revealed that contract negotiations between him and the organisers are not going well.
In the survey, 57 percent were keen for it to continue beyond this year, Also, about 70 percent also felt the race had been a net positive for the country. It is reported that the race costs $150 million ($104.69 million) to put on every year, 60 percent of which is funded by the government.
The Malaysian Grand Prix is another race whose future is in doubt after the organisers spoke out claiming they wanted to fund driver careers rather than host an event.
