Bernie Ecclestone's pilot allegedly behind kidnap

A helicopter pilot who worked for Bernie Ecclestone was arrested on Monday after it was alleged that he was the man behind the kidnapping of the Formula One boss' mother-in-law.

Jorge Eurico da Silva Faria "planned the kidnapping and knew these people's routines," according to the Sao Paulo state security service.

Two suspects were also arrested at the scene.

Aparecida Schunck , mother of Ecclestone's wife Aparecida Schunck was abducted from her house in Interlagos by men disguised as delivery drivers. S

he was held for 10 days before Brazilian authorities managed to free her after tracing the car used in the kidnapping using security camera footage.
