Pirelli announce compounds for British Grand Prix

Pirelli has announced which tyre compounds it will bring to the British Grand Prix later this year. The Silverstone event will host the tenth race of the season, and will be a part of F1's first ever triple-header.

Pirelli has confirmed that the hard tyre will be used for the first time in 2018 in Britain. While previously the hard tyre was identified by an orange side-wall, it is now coloured blue. The medium and the soft compound will also be available for the teams.

Don’t want to spoil the spectacle of pit stops do we! No tyre drama means Pirelli name disappears from media attention.

    • Yes of course, we mustnt forget our motto: Pirelli - we ARE inefficiency. Because we know that having 2 hard compounds that will almost never be used is whats important.
