Luca Filippi insists he does not regret giving up on a chance to race in Formula One by moving to America.
The Italian was a GP2 stalwart and Honda F1 test driver before he made the move to the IndyCar series in 2013.
"No, I have no regrets," he told La Repubblica newspaper. "Now that I am in America, I understand why they never appreciated Formula One: too complicated rules, little public contact with the drivers, and too expensive tickets."
"And then the time zone and the fact that there is one race (in the US) only."
Filippi's immediate future is unclear following Dale Coyne Racing's capture of former F1 star Sebastian Bourdais.
