The Malaysian entrepreneur sold his Leafield-based F1 team to a mysterious group of Swiss-Middle Eastern investors, led by Colin Kolles, earlier this year.
A statement said Caterham's GP2 team has now been sold to the GP3 outfit Status, owned by Teddy Yip, whose namesake and father was the Macau F3 chief and F1 team owner.
Fernandes still owns a Caterham-branded Moto2 team, competing in the second tier of world championship motorcycle racing. (GMM)
