FRIC has now been officially banned by F1's governing body. A controversy about the 'front and rear interconnected' suspension layouts came to a head before Hockenheim, when the FIA flagged the potential illegality of the technology.
In the end, every team using FRIC agreed to remove the systems voluntarily in Germany and also Hungary. Now, Germany's Auto Motor und Sport reports that Fric has been officially banned, effective immediately ahead of the weekend's Belgian grand prix.
